Who said being a model was easy work? There is always alot of preparation before a photo shoot . This is to ensure you get the best experience and the best pictures from your photo session. Models work hard on their body, physical appearance and diet to deliver great energy and personality to their diverse fashion shoots. We don't all want to be super models. We are happy just being ourselves and being the best of who we are is what we want to capture on camera. You can follow some simple step to be at your best at your next photo shoot.

There are six essential beauty preparations before a photo shoot; hair, face, hands, skin, clothes and attitude.

1. Hair
The hair on your head is your best accessory. Make sure it looks and feels the way you want it to be. Colour your roots and trim your hair if necessary as these actions can give your hair new life and body. It is always best to cut your hear 1 week before. To give it time to grow out naturally and for you to get used to the new look. Don't do any dramatic hair styles that you will regret later. If you are having your hair done by the make up artist,  wash and deep condition your hair 2 days before your shoot. It will be in perfect condition for the hair stylist to manipulate your hair to the style you want. If you are doing your own hair. Conditioning 1 day before is just enough. It is to prevent flyways and untangle hair on the day of the shoot.

2. Face
One week in advance. Get you teeth whitened. You can find whitening stripes at your local pharmacy. This adds a little sparkle to your great smile. If you are considering on pampering yourself with a facial, do it one week before. This will rejuvenate your skin making it look more plump and fuller and more rested for the day of your shoot. By all means try not to be tempted to squeeze any of your pimples on the week of your shoot. Bruised pimples can get really big, red and scabby on the day of the shoot. Making your skin uneven and scared. Its best  to let them be or search a pimple solution at the pharmacy to eliminate them. If you happen to have one on the day of the shoot. No problem. make up can do wonders and there is always photoshop.

3. Hand
Your hands tell your story. They are the feminine gesture that reveal your age, your femininity and your personality.  If  you love the ohh lala of a freshly done manicure and pedicure you can get that done a day before. Get your hands looking healthy and smooth by spoiling your hands to a exfoliating scrub with your local grocery store facial scrub or by using a exfoliating hand glove. Then generously apply hand cream to keeping your hands hydrated and soft.

5. Clothes
Putting your clothes together will require some forethought on you how you want to be photographed, the theme of your shoot and the best flattering clothes that fit your personality and body type. Depending on the shoot you are doing, your photographer will help you decide what type of clothing to bring. So bring 4- 5 outfits plus extra and accessories. You never know what kind of inspirations you might have on the day.

6. Attitude
All your preparations will not be in vain when you bring your best self for the photo shoot. Quick meditation and positive thinking can start your day on the right foot. You are the star of the day and you should enjoy every moment of it. Be open to discover new things about yourself and confidently smile, knowing that you are beautiful inside and out.
